HPMC can be dissolved in the solvent mixed with cold water and organic matter to form a transparent viscous solution. The aqueous solution has surface activity, high transparency and strong stability. Its dissolution in water is not affected by pH. It has thickening and anti freezing effects in shampoo and shower gel, and has water retention and good film-forming properties for hair and skin. With the substantial increase of basic raw materials, cellulose (antifreeze thickener) can greatly reduce the cost and achieve ideal results when used in shampoo and shower gel.

The daily chemical grade cold water instant hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose has the following product characteristics:

1. Excellent water retention performance. HPMC has hydrophilic characteristics. It can maintain high water retention in paste, paste and paste products.

2. Cold water instant hydroxypropyl methylcellulose HPMC uses natural raw materials, which has mild performance, low irritation, environmental protection and safety.

3. PH is relatively stable, and the viscosity of aqueous solution is generally stable in the range of pH3.0 to 11.0.

4. The aqueous solution of the product has surface activity, emulsification, colloid protection and relative stability. Its surface tension is about 2% and the aqueous solution is 42-56dyn/cm.

5. Thickening and water solubility, it can be quickly dissolved in cold water, some organic solvents and mixtures with organic solvents.

6. Increase viscosity: when a small amount of dissolution is increased, a transparent viscous solution will be formed, which has the characteristics of stable performance and high transparency. The solubility will change with the viscosity. The lower the viscosity, the greater the degree of dissolution, which can effectively improve the flow stability of the system.

7. Excellent salt resistance. HPMC is a non-ionic polymer, which is relatively stable in organic electrolyte aqueous solution or organic electrolyte.

8. Thermal gelation: when the aqueous solution is heated to a certain temperature, it will become opaque until a flocculation state is generated, which will completely make the solution lose its due viscosity. However, it will change to the original solution state after cooling. For the problem of thermal gel, the temperature mainly depends on the product type, solution concentration and heating rate.

9. HPMC has other properties in the field of daily chemical applications, such as excellent film-forming properties, extensive enzyme resistance, dispersion and bonding properties.
